2025 UKCTTA  Championship – Tournament Report
    The 2025 UKCTTA Annual Championship  took place with strong participation across all categories. This year’s event  attracted a large number of ranked players, raising the overall level of competition  and creating exciting prospects for each group stage and knockout round.

    Tournament  Format
      The competition was organised into  two main categories: Mixed Singles and Mixed 40+.
    
      - Mixed Singles: 5 groups of 7 players each. The top three from each group advanced to the       knockout stage. To complete the Round of 16, one additional player was       selected, creating a full bracket of 16 players.
- Mixed 40+: 2 groups of 7 players each. The top 4 from each group progressed to the       knockout stage, forming the quarterfinal lineup.
This structure guaranteed every  player a fair number of matches while providing a clear and competitive pathway  to the finals.
    
      
    
    Mixed  Singles (Open Category)
      Quarterfinals
    
      - Louis Price vs. Ho Yin Tam
 One of the matches of the tournament. Louis had to dig deep after       trailing, eventually winning a nail-biting five-game thriller:
 11–9, 9–11, 9–11, 11–4, 11–9.
- Larry Trumpauskas vs. Umair Maothoor
 A tense and entertaining match full of momentum shifts. Larry held his       nerve in the deciding game to win 3–2:
 11–6, 6–11, 8–11, 14–12, 11–7.
- Lorestas Trumpauskas vs. Abdul Raqueeb
 A tight encounter throughout, with Lorestas edging all three games to win       3–0:
 11–7, 11–9, 11–9.
- Mahmood Kelani vs. Adam Laws
 Kelani impressed with his consistency and attacking play, securing his semi-final       place against Adam Laws 3-0:
      12-10,11-9,11-7.
      Semifinals
    
      - Louis Price vs. Mahmood Kelani
 Louis showed his authority, controlling the match from start to finish to       secure a 3–0 win:
 11–8, 11–8, 11–7.
- Larry Trumpauskas vs. Lorestas Trumpauskas
 A father-and-son showdown, with the younger Trumpauskas proving stronger       on the day. Larry claimed victory in straight games:
 11–7, 11–8, 11–9.
Final
    
      - Louis Price vs. Larry Trumpauskas
 A fitting climax to the championship. Both players produced dazzling table       tennis, taking the match to a fifth and deciding game. Louis held his       composure at the crucial points to clinch the title:
 11–3, 8–11, 11–13, 13–11, 11–8.

      Quarterfinals
    
      - Adam Laws vs. Eric Hammond
 Adam proved too strong, securing a comfortable 2-0 win to move into the semi-finals.
- Sanga Quamina vs. Amit Dhekane
 Sanga advanced with a confident 2-1-sets victory.
- Lorestas Trumpauskas vs. Vadym Krvs
 Lorestas delivered a solid performance to overcome Vadym and reach the semi-finals.
- Scott Cooper vs. Oleh Biletskyi
 Oleh showed his consistency and sharp play, defeating Scott to secure his       place in the semi-finals.
Semifinals
    
      - Lorestas Trumpauskas vs. Adam Laws
 Lorestas used his experience and attacking flair to take control, winning       in straight games:
 11–5, 11–6, 11–7.
- Oleh Biletskyi vs. Sanga Quamina
 A well-fought battle, but Oleh managed to outlast Sanga in four sets:
 11–9, 11–5, 9–11, 11–5.
Final
    
      - Oleh Biletskyi vs. Lorestas Trumpauskas
 The final produced one of the most exciting matches of the tournament.       Both players exchanged games, keeping the crowd on edge. In the deciding       fifth game, Oleh found the extra energy to edge past Lorestas in dramatic       fashion:
 14–12, 4–11, 13–11, 8–11, 11–8.

      The 2025 UKCTTA Annual Championship  once again showcased the growing strength and depth of competition within the  association. From thrilling five-game battles to generational showdowns and  veterans demonstrating resilience, the event embodied the spirit of table  tennis.
